Requirements
- 3+ years of Engineering Management experience, leading platform engineering teams in high-growth environments
- Proven experience building and scaling core platform services
- Deep understanding of modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps) and how they apply to platform engineering
- Hands-on experience with relevant technologies such as Ruby, CockroachDB, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, and/or AWS
- Ability to set technical direction, manage trade-offs, and ensure execution aligns with company objectives
- Experience collaborating across teams, translating complex technical concepts into actionable strategies for leadership, engineers, and stakeholders
- Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent, ensuring both team success and individual growth
Responsibilities
- Directly manage a team of engineers responsible for Spreedlyβs core platform services and data pipelines
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to platform reliability, security, and efficiency
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of mission-critical software services, ensuring high availability and scalability
- Support developer experience by improving internal tooling, automation, and observability across platform services
- Foster a collaborative engineering culture, mentoring engineers and helping them grow in their careers
- Partner cross-functionally with Security, Product, and Infrastructure teams to align technical decisions with business objectives
