Summary

Join Centric Software as a Presales Consultant in Japan and accelerate the sales cycle by becoming a trusted advisor to clients. Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business challenges and goals, proposing tailored solutions leveraging Centric’s products. Support early deal phases with solution demos, demand generation, and detailed client discovery. Analyze customer requirements, design tailored solutions, and configure Centric PLM. Conduct customized demos, create supporting materials, and prepare solution proposals and RFI/RFP responses. Work with the Post-Sales team on project proposals and support marketing activities, including reviewing localized marketing content and attending trade shows. This hybrid role requires remote work and business travel for on-site demos.

Requirements

  • Presales or consulting/implementation experience with enterprise business applications, preferably ERP / SCM / CRM / PLM or relevant business processes
  • Understanding of application data model, and ability to map customer business requirements to system data model and functionalities
  • Ability to do system configuration
  • Strong analytical thinking and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative skills with clients, partners, and internal teams (sales, global presales community, post-sales, marketing)

Responsibilities

  • Support early phases of the deal by delivering standard solution demo covering the end-to-end Centric PLM solution
  • Support demand generation and educate the customer on the necessity of PLM by making high-level value propositions aligned with customer company’s strategic goals
  • For qualified clients, conduct detailed discovery on customer’s business goals, pain points, current process As-Is state and ideal To-Be state
  • Analyze customer requirements, design tailored solution with Centric PLM, and configure Centric PLM to well fit these needs
  • Conduct customized and/or deep-dive solution demo; create supporting presentation materials as needed
  • Create written solution proposals that document solution scope, highlight product features and benefits / values to customers, supported with ROI estimates when needed
  • Prepare response documentation for RFI/RFP requests
  • Work closely with Post-Sales team to create project proposals that will ensure customer success: implementation effort estimates, project timeline, project organization, SOW
  • Support marketing activities, including reviewing localized marketing contents to make sure the messages are aligned with the Japan markets and customer needs, attending trade shows, presenting at seminars

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in the consumer products industry is a plus (fashion, food & beverage, cosmetics, retail, etc.)
  • English fluency is not mandatory, but should have the willingness to communicate with global teams
