Presales Solutions Architect

Summary

The job is for a Presales Solutions Architect at DoubleCloud, a fast-growing startup offering a managed ClickHouse service. The role involves building the business in Europe, working directly with customers to recommend solutions, delivering technical engagements, and acting as a developer advocate. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of IT platform implementation experience, 2+ years of hands-on data technology stack experience, and 1+ years of cloud services experience.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in IT platform implementation in a technical and analytical role (data engineer, data architect)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with data technology stack, preferably open-source like Kafka, ClickHouse, data warehouse, and ETL product and services
• 1+ years experience in cloud services like AWS, GCP, Azure, or data PaaS
• Fluent in English, ability to talk to customers at any decision-making level

Responsibilities

• Help build the DoubleCloud business in Europe
• Be the second hand of the product team and help form future product and services
• Work directly with customers and recommend solutions based on requirements around open-source data technology stacks
• Deliver on-site and remote technical engagements with partners and customers, including participating and driving PoCs, presales, and understanding customer requirements
• Become a developer advocate - present at events, keep relations with the developer community, help evangelize DoubleCloud in your territory, build and write solutions, and best practice blogs/whitepapers together with customers and product team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with OLAP and OLTP databases, as well as with PostgreSQL, Redshift, BigQuery etc
• Deep understanding of cloud technology and modern data stack
• Experience in a high-growth product-driven company
• Experience in working with startups and mid-sized companies
