Responsibilities

  • Explore user needs: Use research and quick experiments to design content strategy and user experiences that solve problems and improve time-to-value
  • Craft first impressions: Build clear and delightful interactions with content that make people feel welcome and confident from the start of their relationship with us
  • Drive business impact: Work closely with product managers, engineers, analysts, leadership and other stakeholders to balance user needs with our business goals
  • Move quickly, be flexible, and build strong and compelling user journeys, information architecture, and messaging
  • Successfully influence senior leadership and help them understand the impact and vision of design
  • Provide thoughtful feedback on designs as well as identify overlaps and efficiencies between team member’s projects
  • Collaborate to drive solutions for problem spaces that span multiple product lines and groups and model ways to adapt as new data and insights are uncovered
  • Build strong relationships across the organization, including with cross-product designers, engineers, product managers, analysts, and the broader business
  • Ground your designs in data-driven and customer-based insights, confidently navigate pushback, and provide rationale that reflects content design best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enjoy talking with users and prioritize leaning into always-on customer feedback to inform your designs
  • Model “thinking like an owner” in terms of how your partners and our teams should spend their valuable time and resources
  • Enjoy delivering on high-complexity projects and helping create visibility for your and your partners’ work
  • Develop narratives with strong storytelling to influence and educate stakeholders, mastering the ability to appeal on both logical and emotional fronts when selling an agenda or vision
  • Model best practices for knowledge sharing, collaboration, mentoring, and facilitation
  • Clarify shared expectations across groups in service of a larger mission
  • Have the proven ability to break down resistance and anticipate pitfalls
  • Are known for the quality and clarity of your communication artifacts, such as decks, visions, plans, memos, etc
  • Can confidently deliver clear, direct, and actionable feedback — and ask for it in return

  • Cash compensation range: 197,900-316,600 USD Annually
  • The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles
  • In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs)
  • Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay
