Join Skillsoft as a Principal, Product Portfolio Manager and lead the success of Skillsoft Global Knowledge’s learning product portfolio. Develop and execute strategies to drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Ensure product offerings meet evolving customer needs. Manage the product lifecycle, from ideation to retirement. Provide product trend analysis and support go-to-market strategies. Requirements
- Deep experience in product lifecycle management, with a focus on learning and certification products, driving growth and meeting customer needs
- Ability to develop clear, actionable strategies using data-driven insights
- Proven ability to influence outcomes in a highly matrixed organization, with clear communication of strategic goals and strong presentation skills
- Effective in working with diverse teams, including marketing, sales, and technology, to achieve business results
- Experience in learning, certification, or professional services with an expertise toward technology and its associated fields
- Capable of managing products for a worldwide audience with an understanding of market nuances and trends
Responsibilities
- Lead the product lifecycle management, from ideation and development through to enhancement and retirement of learning and certification products
- Ensure portfolios are aligned with customer priorities, industry trends and Global Knowledge’s goals while maintaining P&L accountability
- Provide monthly/quarterly/yearly product result trends with insights and analysis to help drive internal strategy and fine tune operations for the best on-going results
- Create GTM collateral for use in sales enablement and engagement including value proposition, sales tools, sales pitch concepts, objection handling, customer persona identification and alignment, as well as provide market and demand generation support
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities within a product line, including emerging industries, geographies, and customer segments, to grow Global Knowledge’s market share and drive product adoption
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and implement strategic roadmaps that support the organization’s long-term vision and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- This includes defining strategy for proprietary and third-party content implementation and their fit-to-market
- Drive product innovation and enhancements that align with market needs and create differentiation, leveraging insights from industry trends with a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and competitor analysis
- Create and present decision proposals based on facts from the market
- Host and facilitate customer centric calls to determine new product needs and existing product enhancements
- Create an intentional feedback loop with voice of customer calls and focus groups
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and technology teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support, while aligning with revenue and profitability targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including OEM vendors, partners, suppliers, and channel partners in the satisfaction of market needs and strengthening GK’s market leadership position
