Summary

Join GoFundMe as our next Privacy Analyst and ensure compliance with privacy regulations, mitigate risks, and champion privacy-first practices. You will contribute to privacy impact assessments, implement compliance controls, collaborate with senior analysts, support compliance training, provide day-to-day support to sales and customer support teams, and coordinate data mapping and data subject requests. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience with knowledge of international privacy laws, strong communication and analytical skills, and advanced project management skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of international privacy and data protection laws and regulations, notably the EU GDPR
  • Strong understanding of privacy-compliance concepts in assigned product areas
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced project management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems creatively and effectively

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the privacy impact assessment process to ensure new or modified business initiatives align with GoFundMe’s Privacy by Design Program, values, and principles
  • Implement and enhance compliance controls, policies, procedures, and programs to guide functional areas in adhering to regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with senior analysts to document potential risk issues and recommend improvements or internal controls
  • Support the administration of compliance training programs and deliver formal training for internal teams and external customers
  • Provide day-to-day support to sales and customer support teams by addressing privacy and compliance questions and customer-facing support requests
  • Coordinate data mapping, data subject requests, and other privacy-operational activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPP/EU or similar privacy professional certification desired
  • Experience with data mapping and privacy impact assessments
  • Familiarity with privacy-first product design principles
  • Background in training or educating teams on compliance topics
