Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director with research and identify potential suppliers/vendors
  • Obtain price quotations and maintain a comprehensive supplier database
  • Intake tool order requests, place orders or pull from existing stock
  • Track date of purchase and invoices for tools that are eligible for warranty
  • Assist in the creation and processing of purchase orders
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy and completeness and track and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve order discrepancies or issues
  • Communicate delivery schedules and expectations to suppliers and maintain positive relationships with vendors
  • Communicate with shops to monitor and update inventory levels to avoid stockouts
  • Assist in conducting regular stock counts and reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders and contracts. Organize and file procurement documents for easy retrieval. Prepare reports and summaries as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Assist in the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers
  • Assist in cost analysis and cost-saving initiatives. Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality
  • Provide administrative support to the procurement team as required. Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and assist with correspondence

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Procurement Assistant or in a similar role
