Summary

ConvertKit is seeking a Product Design Director to lead all product design and drive excellence in design research, user experience, and cohesive product experiences. The role involves building and managing a high-performing team, conducting research, partnering with cross-functional teams, and staying up-to-date on the latest trends in design.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Design or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Product Design management
  • Experience in hiring and managing design and UX professionals
  • Expertise in design, design research, and content strategy
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a high performing team
  • Coach and develop the design team
  • Create systems, motivation, and accountability for your team
  • Drive collaboration and vision across the company
  • Lead the development and execution of ConvertKit’s Product Design strategy
  • Review design deliverables and drive for exceptional quality
  • Conduct research and cultivate this knowledge within the team
  • Lead by example with hands-on design work as needed
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director of our Brand Studio team
  • Manage our content strategy
