Product Design Lead

Summary

Join Level Access, a leader in digital accessibility, as a Product Design Lead. You will enhance the product experience for internal and external users of our accessibility technology products, applying systems thinking and human-centered design. Collaborate with product and technical leaders, designers, and researchers to create intuitive and scalable solutions. Lead a group of designers, supporting their growth, and contribute to our design system. This role requires strong communication, collaboration, and experience in product design and leadership. Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in product design, including end-to-end product development, design system and systems thinking
• 2+ years in a senior or lead design role, with leadership, mentorship, and strategic impact
• 2+ years of experience leading and developing product designers
• Shown ability to use data to inform and guide design decisions
• Experience partnering with product and engineering leaders to shape product portfolios
• Strong expertise in design discovery, problem framing, and solution definition
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Working knowledge of UX research practices and experience applying insights to design

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of intuitive, accessible user experiences for our digital accessibility products
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define portfolio-level product requirements and deliver complete design solutions
• Drive both short- and long-term design strategies across the product lifecycle
• Lead a group of designers within the product portfolio, supporting their growth through planning and design reviews
• Mentor designers and researchers across the team
• Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and scalability
• Support team members in conducting user research to inform and refine design decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in growth design
• Experience in content design
• Deep understanding of design principles, usability practices
• Knowledge of digital accessibility standards
