Summary

Join Aceable's empowered product team as a UX and Product Designer! Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to design engaging and accessible user experiences. Lead brainstorming sessions, create user journeys and storyboards, and design prototypes in Figma. You'll work within a design system while advocating for innovation. Conduct user research to validate solutions and ensure accessibility compliance. This role requires strong collaboration skills and expertise in Figma. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in UX and product design, preferably in a cross-functional product team
  • Expertise in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design, with experience creating user journeys, storyboards, and both low- and high-fidelity prototypes
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers while effectively articulating and documenting design decisions
  • Experience designing for web and mobile applications, including knowledge of iOS and Android design patterns
  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design, ensuring experiences meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards
  • Ability to conduct user research independently or in collaboration with researchers, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing
  • Experience working within a design system, ensuring consistency while identifying opportunities for refinement and enhancement
  • Reside in one of the following locations: California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York (excluding Boroughs), North Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Washington

Responsibilities

  • Lead design brainstorming sessions with stakeholders, product managers, and engineers to generate ideas and solutions to problems
  • Create user journeys, wireframes, and storyboards to communicate design concepts and user flows
  • Design both low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, ensuring usability, accessibility, and scalability
  • Work within the constraints of a design system while identifying opportunities for refinement and enhancement
  • Collaborate in real-time with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define and iterate on features
  • Conduct or support user research, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to validate product solutions
  • Ensure accessibility compliance by designing experiences that align with WCAG 2.1 AA standards
  • Document and communicate design decisions effectively through written, verbal, or visual formats to cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for iOS and Android apps
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making
  • Knowledge of front-end development
  • Passion for education technology and helping people reach their life goals
