Product Designer

Summary

Join Underdog, the fastest-growing sports gaming company, as a Product Designer II on the Promotions team. You will play a key role in driving user engagement and retention by creating impactful promotional experiences. Collaborate with product, marketing, and analytics teams to shape strategy, influence marketing efforts, and optimize the promotional journey for millions of sports fans. Responsibilities include defining and executing design solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in user research and data analysis, contributing to the design system, and maintaining high usability and accessibility standards. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of experience in product design for native mobile products, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for sports and gaming. Underdog offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $135,000-$150,000, equity, unlimited PTO, 16 weeks of parental leave, a home office allowance, and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product design for native mobile products
• A detail-oriented designer who is eager to craft high-quality, intuitive experiences for customers
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to explore a range of design options and articulate trade-offs
• Presents a portfolio demonstrating process, learnings, and world-class execution on consumer-facing mobile products
• Passionate about Underdog’s mission and products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a growing ability to present work effectively to stakeholders
• Passionate about sports, gaming, and creating industry-leading digital experiences
• Expertise in modern design tooling

Responsibilities

• Define and execute design solutions by creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals that align with user needs and business objectives
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and senior designers to create intuitive and engaging features that enhance the overall customer experience
• Participate in user research and data analysis, translating insights into actionable design improvements
• Work within and contribute to Underdog’s design system, helping to refine and evolve our patterns while recognizing opportunities to push boundaries when needed
• Maintain a high bar for usability and accessibility, ensuring our products are inclusive and user-friendly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fantasy sports and/or sports betting
• Experience designing promotional programs
