Summary
Join Morning Consult as a Product Director and lead a team of Product Managers responsible for the Morning Consult Intelligence (MCI) platform. You will define and drive the vision for future growth, partnering with various stakeholders to prioritize problems and plan long-term roadmaps. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring Product Managers, evolving product culture, and driving meaningful business outcomes. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 8+ years in SaaS product management with leadership roles, and a proven track record of success. The position offers a competitive salary range, equity grant, and the opportunity to work remotely or in one of our office locations.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in SaaS product management, including leadership roles
- Track record of positive business impact (revenue, retention, etc.)
- Proven track record of managing and mentoring product teams in fast-paced environments
- Experience working with in-house UX and Engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated experience in customer interaction, balancing empathy with business objectives
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of passionate and talented Product Managers responsible for the Morning Consult Intelligence (MCI) platform
- Define and drive the vision for our next phase of growth
- Partner with Engineering, Customer Success, Sales and other key stakeholders to define and prioritize problems to solve
- Engage in long-term roadmap planning
- Conduct competitive analysis
- Define KPIs and go-to-market strategy
- Drive meaningful business outcomes
- Be responsible for the professional growth and development of individual Product Managers
- Help evolve our product culture and practices
- Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with customer needs and business objectives
- Hold teams accountable for delivering meaningful, efficient and measurable impact
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive relevant go-to-market efforts
- Clearly communicate goals, priorities and outcomes to teams and stakeholders, including executive leadership
- Work hand-in-hand with Engineering and UX leadership, constantly staying aligned on priorities, challenges and adjustments
- Manage and mentor Product Managers (PMs), supporting professional growth and core skill development
- Empower PMs to take ownership of their areas of focus and hone their leadership skills
- Build and maintain first-hand knowledge of our customers via Sales / CSM calls, recordings and direct customer interactions
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation
- When necessary, evolve product practices and processes to improve collaboration, efficiency and outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data products (specifically survey data)
- Analytical mindset with a passion for leveraging data to drive decision-making
- Open and collaborative style; comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged
- Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement
Benefits
- Salary range: $146,300 - $243,400
