Summary

Join SOULCHI, a values-driven startup committed to social transformation, as the Product Manager, Community & AI (Equity-Based). You'll play a pivotal role in building and nurturing vibrant communities within the SOULCHI platform, developing community guidelines, and ensuring alignment with our values. This role involves researching and implementing AI-powered features to enhance user engagement and insights, owning the product roadmap for community and AI features, and conducting user testing to ensure a positive experience. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, marketing, and content teams to integrate community-building features into the app and drive community initiatives. This is an equity-based position offering flexible hours (15-40 hours per week) and the opportunity to own a piece of the future with SOULCHI's equity-based compensation model.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product management, with at least 2+ years focused on mobile app development (iOS and Android)
  • Demonstrated success launching and iterating consumer-facing features, especially in community or social platforms
  • Experience integrating or working with AI tools and features (e.g., personalization, automation, chatbots)
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle, agile/scrum methodologies, and cross-functional team collaboration
  • Experience with Mighty Network or other social/community management platforms
  • Familiarity with product tools such as Jira, Trello, Figma, Mixpanel, Firebase, or similar
  • Comfortable navigating both product and tech conversations; able to “speak engineer” and “speak stakeholder.”
  • Embrace a flexible, agile approach to community management, adjusting strategies as the company grows and pivots
  • Be comfortable with evolving priorities and managing change in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Strong ability to keep teams aligned, motivated, and on-track

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable, engaging community frameworks, including sub-communities based on user interest and engagement
  • Lead the development of community-building strategies to foster a positive, engaged user base on the SOULCHI platform
  • Integrate and optimize the use of Mighty Network and other tools to foster social connection and content sharing
  • Research user needs, behaviors, and preferences, leveraging data and user feedback to inform decisions and improve the community experience
  • Establish clear community guidelines that align with SOULCHI's values, ensuring consistency, inclusivity, and respectful engagement
  • Explore and implement AI-based features that enhance community engagement, user insights, and content discovery
  • Collaborate with tech teams to translate conceptual ideas into functional features, with a focus on user experience
  • Own and evolve the product roadmap for community and AI-powered features within SOULCHI’s mobile app and web platform
  • Define user stories, lead backlog grooming, and ensure clear sprint planning in coordination with engineering
  • Deliver high-quality features that balance user needs, technical feasibility, and strategic priorities
  • Ensure product decisions are based on data, user insights, and a clear understanding of market opportunities
  • Conduct regular user testing to ensure the community features are functional, engaging, and meet the needs of our users
  • Develop and manage community feedback loops to continuously improve the experience
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across engineering and product teams
  • Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate community-building features into the app, ensuring technical feasibility and seamless user experiences
  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to drive community initiatives and ensure alignment with overall product goals
  • Maintain tight project management processes and communication flows to ensure consistent execution and delivery
  • Work closely with the Virtues Facilitators to ensure internal and user-facing collaboration is values-aligned
