Program Manager

Summary

Join Western Digital and contribute your expertise to our global trade operations. You will develop a deep understanding of our IT assets, map system architecture, and design compliance solutions for import/export regulations. This role involves leading complex projects, collaborating with various teams, and mentoring junior staff. You will also be responsible for defining performance metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing management training plans. Success in this position requires strong project management skills, a comprehensive understanding of Oracle GTM and OTM platforms, and extensive import/export compliance experience.

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of Oracle GTM and OTM platforms; including: Master Data configurations, Trade Transaction Management configuration, Trade Compliance screening configuration, Global Trade Party Management, License Configuration
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 4 years related experience
• >10 Years Import/Export trade compliance experience
• Has broad knowledge of various project management software

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of WD’s Trade Operations IT Assets (Global Trade Management & Customs Management System’s)
• Map and maintain the end-to-end system architecture and design clearly showing connectivity with upstream and downstream systems respectively
• Partner with business units/functions and IT teams to design and deliver systemic compliance solutions to support import/export regulatory requirements
• Develop a governance model for managing the GTM project funnel
• Lead a broad range of complex projects, where Global Trade owned assets are the primary systems impacted
• Engage with Application partner (oracle) in platform enhancement by actively participating in Oracle Idea Lab
• Coordinate the delivery of comprehensive requirements, supporting project team’s comprehension of scope
• Contribute to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead/develop recommendations and provides insight for management
• Define and review system performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement actions to address
• Management reporting on project status and issues
• Mentor junior-level staff
• Collaborate across regions and business units
• Ability to influence a particular business across functions and/or regions
• Drive negotiations and influences business and IT as required
• Strategize and develop Management of change training plan and execute the same to relevant teams across the organization
• Pro-actively communicates system down times across the organization
