Summary

Join Team Rubicon as a Program Manager, Workforce Development and contribute to our Long Term Recovery team! Collaborate with cross-functional teams, build relationships with community partners and training providers, and supervise workforce development staff. You will execute Team Rubicon's workforce development strategy, connecting participants with skill-based training. This remote, full-time position offers a flexible schedule and requires local and non-local travel. The role reports to the VP of Workforce Development & Long Term Recovery and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of relevant professional experience in workforce development, training, or a human services related field
  • Proven record of personnel and project management
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with cross-functional and multi-level effectiveness
  • Successful past performance in leading teams to achieve organizational and departmental goals
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Evening and weekend schedule supporting leadership meetings, video conferences, events, and operations
  • At least 25% non-local travel to support broader organizational activities

Responsibilities

  • Execute Team Rubicon’s workforce development strategy, connecting participants with skill-based training in the skilled trades
  • Develop and maintain relationships with training providers, community-based organizations, and government agencies at the state, county, and city levels
  • Supervise 1-3 workforce development staff, ensuring that goals, deliverables, and funder requirements are met
  • Support the development of tram performance goals and objectives while coaching direct reports on performance management
  • Develop and implement internal communication, meeting cadence, reporting and business processes

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of skilled trades and/or disaster preparedness industries
