Summary
Join Wing, a Google company, as a Technical Program Manager based in Palo Alto, CA or remotely in the US. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of experience in technical program management
- Technical aptitude and strong analytical skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in technical and non-technical environments
- Organizational, coordination, and multi-tasking experience. Experience with Agile and Waterfall program management styles
- Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones
- Comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing and sometimes stressful environment
- Experience with Technical Change Management and/or Configuration Management
Responsibilities
- Manage complex, cross-functional technical programs across all phases of a development lifecycle
- Drive engineering scoping, execution, and delivery, and program-manage large and diverse cross-organizational teams
- Guide alignment on timelines, goals, and deliverables of related projects and teams. Drive strategic and tactical decisions throughout all organizations and levels
- Communicate progress, and risks. Propose mitigation plans, and align stakeholders on de-risking strategies
- Facilitate escalation of risks and issues and unblock obstacles, ensuring all leadership and stakeholders are aware of progress and blockers on a continuous basis
- Apply technical judgement and understanding to build consensus, to scope projects, schedules, plans, to drive execution, and communicate status to stakeholders
- Analyze processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and gaps and collaborating cross-functionally and globally to improve processes and tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the aerospace or automotive industries or a similar field
