Associate Project Development Engineer

Summary

Join Pine Gate Renewables as an Associate Project Development Engineer and contribute to the design and development of utility-scale solar power systems. This entry-level role supports the engineering and development of solar projects, assisting in conceptual design layouts, evaluating site viability, and developing energy models. You will collaborate with various teams, including Interconnection Engineers and Project Managers, to address project challenges. The position offers remote work with up to 10% travel. Requirements

Proficiency in CAD, PV Farm or similar drafting applications

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating conceptual design layouts and zoning plans for photovoltaic (PV) power plants using AutoCAD Civil3D, PVcase , PVFarm , and other design tools
• Evaluate project site viability using GIS data and mapping tools
• Support the development of Stormwater and Erosion Control (SEC) and calculations
• Contribute to early-stage electrical layout designs
• Develop energy models using Plant Predict and PVsyst software
• Assist in estimating EPC costs by identifying and documenting site features that impact project budgets
• Collaborate with Interconnection Engineers to prepare utility interconnection applications
• Work closely with Project Managers to address challenges related to land use, system configuration, energy production, and construction costs

Preferred Qualifications

• 0-2 or more years’ experience in a similar role preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
