Summary

Join our team as a Project Engineer Team Lead and lead a team of skilled engineers in delivering complex technology projects. You will leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to oversee project execution, act as a technical escalation point, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience and 2+ years of team leadership, preferably in an MSP environment. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, coordinating project execution, troubleshooting complex issues, and improving engineering workflows. You will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders, monitor team performance, and participate in client-facing meetings. A strong technical background in infrastructure solutions, Microsoft technologies, and networking is essential.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot infrastructure solutions, including firewalls, servers, networking, and cloud platforms
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft technologies, including: Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP
  • Hyper-V, Azure AD, EntraID, O365 apps (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Email migration (e.g., on-prem to O365 using BitTitan or similar tools)
  • MDM platforms (Intune, MaaS360)
  • Familiarity with: VMWare ESXi, Nutanix Acropolis
  • Networking hardware (Cisco, Dell), Firewalls (Fortinet, SonicWall), and WAPs (Meraki, Ubiquiti)
  • NAS storage (QNAP, Synology, Dell)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach technical professionals in a distributed/remote environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsβ€”able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset with a commitment to team performance and client satisfaction
  • A home office set up that meets the following: A working computer with minimum of 8gb RAM, i5 Windows10 or macOS Big Sur
  • Stable internet connection with at least 5mbps download and upload
  • A quality headset with noise cancellation feature for meetings
  • A mobile phone that has the capacity to install the Microsoft Authentication app
  • HD webcam
  • 2nd Monitor
  • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply ) if using a desktop (Not needed if using a laptop)

  • Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written
  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week - 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Pacific Standard Time (PST) from Monday to Friday
  • Able to pass our online behavior and cognitive assessments
  • Able to provide NBI Clearance (for PH applicants)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Engineers, ensuring individual development and collective success
  • Oversee and coordinate the execution of technology projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and above client expectations
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex deployments or troubleshooting
  • Standardize and improve engineering workflows, documentation practices, and technical quality assurance
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to align resources and project timelines
  • Monitor teamwork and performance, providing feedback and identifying training needs
  • Participate in and, when necessary, lead client-facing meetings and technical reviews
  • Maintain a hands-on role in key technological implementations and complex configurations
  • Maintain Billability utilization target of 70%
  • Champion a culture of accountability, knowledge-sharing, and innovation

Preferred Qualifications

Preferably, at least two of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, 3cx Basic Certified Engineer
