Summary

Join European Dynamics as a Project Manager and work remotely within the EU. You will be part of a team collaborating with a major client's IT team. Manage the implementation of information systems, propose project strategies, guide the project team, participate in meetings, estimate costs and resources, prepare project plans, monitor progress, and manage change control. This role requires a Master's degree in IT or a relevant field with 13+ years of experience. Excellent project management methodology knowledge and strong technical skills are essential. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum of 13 years of relevant working experience in IT
  • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Prince, PMI, EC PM2)
  • Good knowledge of Portfolio Management processes
  • Good knowledge of project management standards and methodologies
  • Good technical knowledge of the projects aspects
  • Knowledge of project management tools e.g. MS Project
  • Ability in drafting reports for the executive management
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Ability in developing project management supporting tools
  • Excellent command of the English language

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and using the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of co-timescales, and quality
  • Give proposals for project strategies, planning, definition of tasks and deliverables, review of project deliverables, quality control, risk analysis and management, status reports, problem reporting and management systems, follow up and organization
  • Guide the team in charge of project activities and review their deliverables
  • Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings
  • Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed terms of reference
  • Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and tracks activities against the plan, provide regular and accurate reports
  • Monitor costs, timescales and resources used. Take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensure that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria
  • Manage the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project sponsors
