Requirements

• +5-years professional experience in project management
• Masters Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science , or evidence of equivalent research and analysis experience
• Experience with the management of EU funded (research) projects
• Experience in developing research proposals and securing funding
• Experience in effectively combining agile methodologies with traditional project management in product-based startup environments
• Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making
• Strong organisational and planning skills, that ensure work is effectively prioritised to meet deadlines
• Ability to anticipate challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a range of audiences, stakeholders and partners
• Proven skills in writing for and speaking to a range of audiences (Portuguese and English)

Responsibilities

• Managing EU-funded projects , ensuring compliance with proposal provisions and timelines
• Analysing and interpreting research data, drawing meaningful conclusions
• Managing the delivery of projects to customers , taking into account the short-term and long-term goals of the business
• Coordinating with team members, ensuring research tasks are on track and within budget
• Facilitate and supervise the delivery of technical milestones, utilizing advanced project management tools
• Reporting on project progress, resource planning and financial analysis of the projects
• Ensuring compliance with ethical standards and industry regulations during research
• Performing risk management across the existing projects
• Managing the impact of emerging opportunities and their impact on the existing projects
• Proactively discuss project progress and needs with management
• Finding practical and workable solutions to deliver results
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Professional project management certification from accredited institution (preffered)
