Summary

Join our team as a Project Manager for a potentially 24-month contract (with possible extension) working primarily onsite in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a potential for remote work at the discretion of Manitoba. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of IT projects, from initiation to closure. The role requires a minimum of five years of IT project management experience, PMP or Prince2 certification, and expertise in various project methodologies. You will manage project resources, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring successful project completion. The position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale ERP implementation projects within a public sector organization.

Requirements

  • A clean criminal record check status will be required at the proponent’s expense prior to the successful Service Provider Resource(s) arriving onsite or working remotely
  • Maintaining a clean status is required throughout the Proponents contract
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing Information Technology projects
  • Valid PMP Certification or Prince2 Practitioner certification
  • Expertise in project lifecycles, and project planning including resource, cost, and schedule estimation
  • Experience developing business cases
  • Experience planning and managing projects in a Public Sector organization
  • Experience working on SAP Projects
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Strong analysis and problem resolution skills
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Experience working on a project within a large-scale program requiring integration with other projects and adherence to an overall program strategy and execution
  • Experience working on large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation projects
  • Experience managing project utilizing a large system integration vendor
  • Experience managing multiple vendors concurrently

Responsibilities

  • Primary ownership of the project Deliverables
  • Provide day to day direction to the project team
  • Manage and control project scope and strategic aspects of the project
  • Manage the project, resources, associated work plans, and dependencies
  • Manage the overall integration of all project teams' work efforts
  • Ensure that project team has properly qualified resources on the project
  • Review and approve selected project Deliverables
  • Manage and expedite issue resolution
  • Monitor budget to actual project expenditures, headcount, Deliverable completion, and milestones
  • Communicate with steering committee, project sponsor, and business process owners
  • Identify, track, and report project performance metrics
  • Identify and help remove barriers to team performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP project management experience in one, or all, of the following areas: S4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass, SuccessFactors
  • Strong exposure to SAP Activate Methodology in a Hybrid Agile delivery approach
  • Solid understanding of the SAP landscape, modules, and terminology
  • Ability to liaise between SAP & System Integrator consultants and Business SME's to ensure requirements are met while ensuring the adoption of best practice is maintained
