Summary

Capio Group is seeking a Proposal Coordinator with expertise in IT solution proposal response, technical writing, editing, content strategy, and content management. The role involves coordinating and writing strategic content for proposals and other media types, managing the proposal process, and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts. The position is full-time, remote (preferably in the Pacific Time Zone or Sacramento area), and offers a flexible workplace and great work-life balance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working as a Proposal Coordinator/Writer or similar role
  • 2+ years of experience participating in the full proposal lifecycle
  • 2+ years of experience interacting with Subject Matter Experts / Resources to obtain required information
  • 2+ years of experience writing persuasive content for proposals
  • At least 1 year of government proposal development experience
  • At least 1 year of information technology (IT) proposal development experience
  • Ability to translate highly technical information into pieces that are easily understood by a variety of audience backgrounds
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including grammar, spelling & editing skills along with an extremely high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; Adobe PDF, and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and Gmail)
  • Advanced abilities in formatting, creating, and editing templates
  • Flexible and open to changing schedules and priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within rigid timeframes

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and write strategic, persuasive, and high-quality content for proposals and other media types
  • Lead all phases of the Proposal Development process including facilitating team review of new opportunities, managing and tracking opportunities, content development, assignment of content development, organization of proposal materials, editing, formatting, final production & post-production activities, and maintaining proposal repositories
  • Support other tasks as needed such as the editing/production of presentations and deliverables to clients, maintaining and editing templates, and managing processes/systems associated with the proposal development function

Preferred Qualifications

  • A proven track record of establishing technical writing processes, procedures, and culture from scratch
  • Experience writing technical documentation for the information technology industry
  • Experience in authoring/managing non proposal related marketing content/campaigns such as social media, website article etc
