Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in journalism, editing, or creative writing
• A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, PR, or a related discipline
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly present business rationales in proposals
• High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to multitask, balancing research projects, data analysis, and coordination with the executive team

Responsibilities

• Work closely with leadership and with your peers to identify and respond to opportunities in government and public sector tenders
• Develop comprehensive proposal responses tailored to the specific requirements of government and public sector clients
• Manage the end-to-end proposal process for public sector submissions, ensuring compliance with all tender requirements
• Build and maintain a library of reusable content for future government and public sector proposal submissions
• Create and refine presentations and supporting materials for government tender submissions
• Lead or contribute to initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and quality of the proposal writing process
• Conduct thorough research on government standards, industry regulations, and public sector trends to inform proposal strategy
• Interview technical subject matter experts to gather detailed information for proposal content and ensure accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience writing bid proposals in the private or public sector
• Proven ability to effectively manage a high volume of commercial tenders with varying deadlines
• Strong knowledge of bid writing principles and the ability to translate complex information across a wide range of subject matters
• A track record of winning proposals within highly competitive markets
