Proposal Writer

Summary

The Proposal Writer will be part of a team responsible for responding to RFPs and related documents at RSI Security, a leading cybersecurity compliance firm. The role requires 1-5 years’ experience in proposal writing, a Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or Journalism, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• 1-5 years’ experience in proposal writing
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or Journalism, or equivalent experience
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) and related documents such as; Requests for information (RFIs), sources sought notifications (SSNs), and help maintain proposal templates, including methodologies, case studies, and resumes
• Take ownership of the proposal writing process
• Ensure output is compelling and provides a consistent message
• Understand complex RFP requirements and ensure they are addressed
• Work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines
• Learn quickly and understand current/new tools
• Work autonomously and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing proposals in a cybersecurity environment or other technical field of focus
• Experience writing proposals for public sector (SLED/Fed) clients
• Strong knowledge of Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms)
• Familiarity with Asana and EOS concepts
• APMP and/or Shipley certification/training
