Summary

BuzzBoard is seeking an experienced QA Tester to join their team, focusing on the full cycle of manual testing for new features. The role involves working closely with various teams to design, own, and deliver test plans, maintain a library of test cases, and ensure quality standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Software Testing
• Should have experience in using any Test Management Tool
• Create, update and execute test sets, test reports and other required documentations with high accuracy
• Testing/QA concepts with good knowledge of manual testing
• Strong analytical skills to be able to translate from system requirements and use cases to detailed test cases
• Knowledge & experience on Bug tracking and JIRA tool
• Organizational skills to capture and record detailed and accurate information about bugs and systemic issues
• Participate in troubleshooting of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
• Ability to think outside the box and approach the BuzzBoard app from multiple users’ perspectives
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (particularly SCRUM)
• You must be fluent in both spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering, design, product management, project management, and customer experience to design, own, and deliver on test plans for new features and functionality
• Develop and maintain a robust library of test cases for both new and existing features
• Ensure that quality standards are adhered to during the development of products
• Design and execute regression test plans on an ongoing basis — BuzzBoard changes frequently and rapidly
• Be a reliable, friendly, and non-judgemental source of early feedback on new functionality and feature changes
• Work with other members of the Customer Experience team to ensure that testing is complete and thorough before launching
• Provide immediate feedback to software developers and work with them to improve the product
• Work with Engineering to isolate and reproduce defects across all parts of the system
• Own the issues in your area of the code, triage and manage the issues in our issues tracking tool
• Work with the Software Engineering in Test team to identify and address gaps in testing coverage

Preferred Qualifications

Would be good to have 1+ year in Selenium with MySQL, Mongo Database and API testing
