Requirements

  • Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, software testing standards, and the software development cycle
  • Demonstrated experience developing high-quality test plans
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to convey technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders
  • Creative problem-solving abilities, with a deep-seated drive to find ways to make things easier
  • Ability to manage time between tasks and prioritize as necessary
  • SQL database skills
  • Proficiency in an object-oriented language such as C# and Java
  • Ability to write automated test cases using Selenium, Cucumber or any other automation framework
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in all phases of software testing
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test scripts
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar frameworks
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, testing methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive manual test cases to identify bugs and ensure functional correctness of the product
  • Design and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and user stories
  • Perform regression, integration, and acceptance testing on various platforms
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of an automated test suite to improve the efficiency and coverage of testing
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Define and implement QA strategies, processes, and best practices to improve product quality and testing efficiency
  • Ensure test coverage across multiple projects while managing deadlines and resources
  • Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders
  • Participate in defect triage meetings and coordinate with development teams to resolve bugs and issues
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team, regularly reviewing processes and recommending optimizations
  • Document and track bugs, test results, and metrics to provide insights into the product's quality and test coverage
  • Generate and present reports on test progress, test coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders
  • Ensure thorough documentation of testing strategies, processes, and scripts for ongoing and future reference

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python, JavaScript) to develop test scripts
  • Experience writing test automation using automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cypress and etc)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar for automated testing
  • Experience in performance and load testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, etc
