Summary

Join ShiftKey as a QA Engineer and contribute to the success of our QA and release management processes. This fixed-term contract role (minimum 12 months, with potential extension) offers opportunities for self-development in functional testing. You will design, create, and update test cases, run manual tests, report defects, participate in team planning, and collaborate on test strategy. Based in Poland, you can choose between remote work or our Warsaw office. The role involves testing across web, mobile, and API platforms, utilizing various tools and technologies.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in testing, preferably in roles with diverse responsibilities
  • Solid knowledge of ISTQB standards, especially test types, levels, design techniques, the test pyramid rule, and bug management
  • Hands-on experience with designing and running tests for business applications
  • Practical experience in testing mobile apps
  • Experience with testing at different levels, including API and UI
  • Skills in assessing test coverage, spotting gaps, and addressing them
  • Experience with test management and manual testing tools like Postman/OpenAPI, Charles/Proxyman, and Chrome Developer Tools
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and working with pull requests
  • Experience using SQL for testing
  • A good understanding of Agile principles and methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and update test cases by analyzing functional requirements and using test design techniques, while also suggesting automation test cases
  • Run manual tests and document results based on agreed standards for Web and Mobile apps
  • Report defects found during testing, work with developers and product teams to resolve them, and follow up to ensure bugs are fixed
  • Participate in team planning activities by providing test estimates and helping prioritize tasks
  • Contribute to new solutions by spotting gaps or issues in requirements and reviewing testability
  • Review test cases created by other QA Engineers
  • Check automated test results and report any issues
  • Identify areas for regression testing and propose test cases for automation
  • Collaborate with team members to create a test strategy based on Scrum/Agile methods and applying best practices
