Quality Assurance Associate

Summary

The job is for a Quality Assurance Associate at Mejuri, a fine jewelry brand. The role involves ensuring quality standards for jewelry and merchandise through inspection, testing, and reporting. Requirements

• 2+ years of jewelry quality control experience
• Highly organized with focus on execution, problem solving, and improving processes
• Exceptional time management skills and accountability
• Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment
• Team player with an ability to work collaboratively
• Entrepreneurial spirit and self-starter
• Robust computer skills, including excel
• Gemology certification required

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspection of jewelry and other merchandise as per quality assurance standards in a timely manner and prioritized as necessary
• Update production QC results on the internal data dashboard
• Review and inspect Top samples, Initial production and New Launch production with precision and report defects if any
• Proactively identify gaps and areas of improvement to upgrade the QC process and take ownership of improvement projects
• Operate XRF machine for related testing and update results to QC dashboard
• Operate Diamond tester, Gross weight check machine for final QC reporting
• Assist with pre-QC racks placements and closing it daily
• Collaborate with the team lead for RTV units packaging and reporting process
• Inspect and report Made-to-order production to the assigned channel
• Review and update Supplier compliance audit log and other weekly and monthly reports
• Operate microscope, diamond tester, gross weight machine on requirement basis
• Sort, organize and report obsolete inventory, QC samples and other materials
• Conduct inventory audits when required
• Train new associates on the QC process
