Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Summary

Join our client in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge decentralized exchange (DEX) platform. We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer passionate about delivering high-quality software and working collaboratively with development and design teams to enhance user experience. The role involves designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans, performing manual and automated testing, and collaborating with frontend developers. Responsibilities also include conducting integration testing, facilitating performance testing, maintaining automated test suites, and working with stakeholders to track defects. The QA Engineer will verify cross-browser compatibility and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes. The position is full-time or part-time (at least 10-15 hours/week) and is remote, with a project duration of 12-15 months.

Requirements

• Proficiency in testing methodologies and tools, with experience in both manual and automated testing
• Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to effectively validate frontend functionality
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Jest) and version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and experience in testing web services
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications
• Perform manual and automated testing of the DEX platform to identify defects and ensure functionality, performance, and security
• Collaborate with frontend developers to validate user interfaces and ensure they meet design specifications and usability standards
• Conduct integration testing to ensure seamless interaction between frontend applications and backend services, including RESTful APIs
• Facilitate performance, load, and stress testing to ensure the application can handle expected traffic and usage
• Maintain, enhance, and expand automated test suites using suitable testing frameworks and tools
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify and track defects, providing detailed reports and ensuring timely resolution of issues
• Verify cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness of the DEX application
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices in the organization
• Document and communicate test results, findings, and recommendations to the development team and management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the fintech or blockchain space is a plus
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is advantageous
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus
