Summary

Join Hudl's Applied Machine Learning (AML) team as a Staff Quality Assurance Engineer and deliver AI/ML solutions at scale. You will provide technical quality leadership for engineers and data scientists, blending product and process quality focus with technical expertise and strategic guidance. Collaborate across departments to drive alignment on quality initiatives, ensuring scalable solutions meet long-term objectives. Proactively identify and address potential quality risks, and own long-term quality and engineering objectives. Leverage technical expertise and industry insights to drive continuous improvement in quality processes and frameworks. This role is ideal for a problem-solver with mentorship experience, curiosity, and a global mindset, and may be based in London or remotely in the UK.

Requirements

  • A problem-solver. You can identify and solve critical quality challenges autonomously to ensure we stay on track with roadmaps
  • Mentorship. You’ll coach future leaders on technical quality, sharing best practices and fostering a mindset of innovation and excellence in software quality
  • Curiosity. You continuously scout emerging technologies and best practices to ensure you and your team are being efficient with product reliability
  • Global mindset. Our ML team is currently spread across the U.S. and Europe, so remote collaboration skills will be part of the job

Responsibilities

  • Cross-team collaboration. You’ll work across departments to drive alignment on quality initiatives, ensuring scalable solutions meet long-term strategic objectives while also maintaining focus on immediate technical excellence
  • Proactive quality assurance. By anticipating quality risks and organizational needs, you’ll proactively identify and address potential obstacles to prevent defects before they arise
  • Strategic execution. You’ll own long-term quality and engineering objectives while ensuring day-to-day execution aligns with delivering high-quality, reliable and efficient solutions
  • Industry advancements. You’ll leverage technical expertise and industry insights to drive continuous improvement, ensuring our quality processes and frameworks evolve with technological advancements

Preferred Qualifications

ML sports industry experience. If you’ve used AI/ML in sports to generate data and/or create insights, that’s a plus
