Summary

Join Brooklinen's Operations team as a Quality and Compliance Specialist in Brooklyn, NY. This role involves maintaining product integrity through core processes and projects across Testing, Inspections, Vendor Compliance, and Defects functions.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in consumer product testing, product integrity, quality assurance, regulatory compliance
  • An understanding of product performance and regulatory test methods, standards, and requirements
  • The ability to analyze and synthesize testing/inspection result data and effectively communicate to cross-functional partners and suppliers
  • High proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Slack
  • Experienced with product life cycle and production management systems (i.e. NetSuite, Anvyl, PLM) and testing/inspection management tools (i.e.Interlink, Factored Quality and SaaS)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and production testing process and product integrity throughout the product life cycle
  • Partner with Product Development and Merchandising teams in the review of new product development and identify product regulatory, quality, safety requirements, and certification needs
  • Manage the review of test reports, escalation of failures, and support the development/implementation of corrective action plans (CAPs)
  • Support the research, development, and implementation of new regulatory and performance standards to incorporate into Brooklinen testing protocols
  • Research, organize and execute special testing projects to support expanded or improved product offerings
  • Monitor quality defects and returns data and communicate trends to internal teams
  • Analyze data and leverage internal tools to report on Quality department KPIs across testing, inspections, and defect returns
  • Manage day-to-day communication with third-party service providers
  • Ensure department manuals and standard operating procedures are implemented and upheld across third-party service providers and suppliers
  • Monitor the production of new and core product quality through the managing in-line and pre-shipment inspections requests and report approvals
