Summary

Join PsiQuantum, a company building the world's first useful quantum computer, as an intern. You'll collaborate with experts to develop quantum algorithms and software for large-scale quantum computers. Multiple opportunities exist in quantum algorithms, compilation, and applications software. The internship involves cutting-edge research and contributions to collaborative projects. Specific responsibilities include algorithm development, optimization, compilation, resource estimation, and simulation. Successful candidates will possess a postgraduate degree in a relevant field and experience with programming and collaborative tools.

Requirements

  • Currently studying for, or completed a postgraduate degree related to quantum algorithms, quantum circuit compilation, fault tolerance or another aspect of quantum computing
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python) and collaborative software development tools (e.g. Git)
  • A creative and adaptable approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in the areas of quantum algorithms, quantum software and quantum compilation
  • Contribute to collaborative software / research projects
  • Author internal reports and documentation about their work
  • Development of quantum algorithms to solve impactful problems
  • Optimization of ubiquitous subroutines in fault tolerant quantum algorithms
  • Compilation of quantum algorithms to logical gate sets
  • Incorporation of architecture-aware optimizations
  • Resource estimation
  • Simulation and compilation of quantum circuits

  • Hourly Rate: Bachelors: In Process $25
  • Hourly Rate: Bachelor’s Degree $29
  • Hourly Rate: Master’s: 1st Year $33
  • Hourly Rate: Master’s Degree $37
  • Hourly Rate: PhD: In Process $40
  • Hourly Rate: PhD: Near Completion $43
