Reconciliation Specialist

Summary

Join our team as a Reconciliation Specialist and contribute to the success of a leading fintech company. You will be responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of transactions across various payment channels. This role involves matching data between internal systems and bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with other teams. You will also prepare financial reports and participate in process automation. Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in payment systems, fintech, or banking
• Strong understanding of payment transaction processing principles
• Hands-on experience with reconciliation involving payment providers, banks, and internal systems
• Knowledge of payment infrastructure and cash flow principles
• Proficient in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Ability to work with large volumes of data, identify errors, and analyze discrepancies
• High level of responsibility, attention to detail, structured thinking, and a systematic approach
• Financial education (the profile of Economics, accounting, financial analytics, and business administration is suitable)
• Fluent in Russian and English

Responsibilities

• Daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of transactions across all payment channels (acquiring, payouts, P2P, refunds, chargebacks)
• Matching data between internal accounting systems and bank statements
• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving discrepancies
• Collaborating with the account and support teams to investigate and resolve reconciliation issues
• Preparing financial reports based on reconciliation results
• Participating in the automation and optimization of reconciliation processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in fintech or banking
• Skills in SQL or BI tools
• Understanding of acquiring, chargeback processes, and payment provider operations
• Experience working with PSPs and banks
