Remote Regional Facilities Manager

Summary

Join The Scion Group as a Regional Facilities Manager and lead the maintenance and improvement of a portfolio of student housing properties nationwide. You will develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, training curricula, and site inspection protocols. This role requires collaboration with various teams and managing capital projects. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with extensive experience in facilities management within the student housing or multi-family sector. Requirements

• College graduate preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
• At least 4 years of facilities management and supervisory experience, preferably within the student housing or a similar multi-family sector
• Demonstrated knowledge working with both vertical and horizontal buildings and high-rise boiler and chiller systems
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 60% in a year
• Flexible, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with quickly re-prioritizing

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and development opportunities to the Facilities team
• Creates and maintains appropriate training and development to establish career paths in collaboration with other applicable departments
• Assists with the procurement and ongoing administration of a preventative and predictive maintenance program
• Assures adherence to OSHA standards, federal, state and local laws and applicable company policies and procedures
• Assists with the development, implementation, and monitoring of maintenance programs. Responsible for maximizing revenue, controlling expenses, and improving resident satisfaction
• Provides technical expertise and assists with developing training programs for facilities and maintenance personnel in areas such as mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, plumbing, general construction, elevators, pools, fire & life/safety equipment, building automation systems and other pertinent building systems and preventative maintenance
• Assists with establishing safety processes in compliance with OSHA standards and other applicable laws
• Assists property management personnel with the implementation of various operational programs including but not limited to training, demand side energy conservation, preventative maintenance, workflow direction, and vendor management
• Provides technical expertise and assists with developing scopes of work for assigned capital projects
• Facilitates and conducts annual inspections and assessments to identify conditions, needs and budget expectations
