Remote Account Executive, Advertising Solutions

Join us as an experienced Account Executive to build and grow a new business line at Discord, focusing on advertising solutions for the gaming industry.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as an Account Executive in direct ad sales, media buying, or digital advertising, with a focus on CPG, Consumer Electronics, QSR, Retail, Tech or Telecommunications
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding account and revenue goals
• Experience in managing clients throughout the funnel with a deep understanding of their challenges and objectives
• Experience in building relationships with top marketing decision-makers and their agencies
• Ability to analyze data and identify insights to assess campaign performance
• Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem-solve quickly and through the proper escalation channels
• Experience with marketing and ad technology ecosystem including ability to collect and convey product needs as well as working cross-functionally to diagnose and solve technical problems for clients
• Experience in negotiating and structuring standard and non-standard ad-buying agreements

Responsibilities

• Identify and address clients' marketing needs
• Develop tailored solutions and proposals that deliver value against those needs
• Prospect and source media buying opportunities with CPG, Consumer Electronics, QSR, Retail, Tech, & Telecommunications
• Build and deepen relationships within these industries with stakeholders & key decision makers at the brand direct and agency levels
• Negotiate and close deals to meet revenue and account goals
• Help clients achieve business and marketing goals using Discord’s solutions
• Deploy effective and repeatable sales strategies. Apply an account planning process to prioritize accounts, grow revenue, educate clients, lead strategic client conversations, and navigate complex relationships
• Create and convey compelling sales presentations and proposals utilizing internal and external data
• Become an expert in Discord solutions and adapt recommendations to suit varying client needs
• Consult with clients and contribute to marketing and media plans that enable them to reach their target audiences on Discord

Benefits

$255,000 to $320,850 base salary + equity + benefits
