Requirements

  • A Master's degree in psychological counseling, social work, or a related field

  • A valid license to practice as an independent mental health provider
  • 5 plus years of experience in perinatal mental health care
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics

We are transforming outcomes for pregnant people and babies with evidence-based pregnancy and newborn care at scale. Our technology-driven care platform enables us to engage patients early, conduct individualized risk assessments for poor pregnancy outcomes, and deliver coordinated, personalized virtual care throughout pregnancy, NICU stays, and the first postpartum year. We measure ourselves by reductions in preterm births, NICU admissions, c-sections and maternal mortality; we improve outcomes and reduce healthcare spend.

Role description

Your North Star: Lead a team of perinatal mental health specialists and support them in improving patient outcomes.

Reporting to the Director of Behavioral Health, the key responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Lead will include:

  • Lead a team of perinatal mental health specialists, overseeing daily operations and ensuring high-quality care for patients.
  • Monitor performance, provide feedback, and assist in implementing targeted behavioral health programs.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and support training programs for our team.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement activities, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and regulations in our field.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of birth inequity and structural racism’s impact on maternal health.
  • Experience with Medicaid or public health program clients.
  • Access to Internet for remote work, willingness to travel occasionally (infrequent) and some use mobile devices.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Bonus points if you have any of the following

  • Perinatal Mental Health Certification
  • Experience in program development and implementation
  • Experience in case management and care navigation
  • Experience providing virtual care
  • Experience participating in group care

In accordance with New York City, Colorado, California, and other applicable laws, Pomelo Care is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, geography, and balancing internal equity. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $95,000-$105,000
