Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Healthcare industry experience
- Value Stream Mapping: Experience developing value stream maps or business process/workflow mapping as is Lean Six Sigma certification
- SAFe Agile/Agile: Understand basic agile principles, methodologies, and tools, develop lean business cases, and write feature canvases and user stories
- Analytical Thinking: Understanding healthcare subject matter to identify KPIs and recommend what and how they should be measured, as well as the ability to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze these metrics. Experience validating, interpreting, and analyzing clinical concepts, data, workflows, and trends using standard practices and techniques, such as Value Stream Maps
- Project Management: Ability to deliver within Sprint timelines, proactively maintain project momentum, anticipate needs, and minimize risks. Adaptability to pivot with changes in requirements and/or ad hoc client requests. Experience using Jira to manage work and meet project deadlines
- Delivery: Ensure high-quality work products through effective prioritization, organization, and curiosity. Advanced skills in MS Forms, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, SharePoint, reporting and analytics tools. Excellent written and presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Work within a cross-functional agile team to assess and analyze clinical workflows in the VA Enterprise
- Create lean business cases that include feature descriptions and metrics to demonstrate the value of the team's solutions
- Responsible for creating documents for EHR training with appropriate terminology, abbreviations, graphics, examples for training presentations, and well-written narratives
- Analyze and create electronic health records' clinical workflows (e.g., surgical, primary care, dental, specialty care, pharmacy) and clinical data to define new approaches that increase the quality of patient care and provider and patient satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare Informatics: Experience in a healthcare environment strongly preferred, understanding of healthcare from a business standpoint in how hospitals/clinics operate (eg. Referrals to specialty care
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt+ certification
