TEAM

Toyota Woven City (hereafter “TWC”), a test course built at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan, has its vision set to diversify and expand the meaning of “Mobility” to move and inspire people. TWC has three core concepts, a ‘living laboratory’ incorporating a diversity of cutting edge technologies, ‘ever-evolving’, with foreseeing endless Kaizen and expansion, and ‘human-centric’, a city that serves its people bringing them more happiness to their lives.

Our team is committed to providing safe, secure, and comfortable spaces and experiences to the residents and workers in the city, who will play essential roles in testing and taking part in the development of products/services. You will report to the Lead of Woven Inventor Laboratory, and this job’s workplace type is hybrid (office in Woven City, Nihombashi, and remote).

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We will build a community and ecosystem where inventors who create the future fabric of life can work together to create what one person/company cannot do alone. It is the community and ecosystem that creates a culture and mechanism in which these inventors connect, help each other, and work together.

The manager of Community & Ecosystem Building is expected to deeply understand and empathize with inventors and their ideas, envision how to accelerate their development and implementation, and accelerate collaboration by connecting them with the necessary collaborators.

Community ＆ Ecosystem Building の Manager に期待されることは、発明家やそのアイディアを深く理解して共感し、どうすればその開発や実装が加速するかを構想し、必要な仲間をつなぎながらコラボレーションを加速させることです。

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be in charge of planning and executing the community and ecosystem building strategy and roadmap itself so that the community and ecosystem of inventors can accelerate invention and contribute to creating the future fabric of life.
• Be in charge of a daily basis with inventors working in TWC, eliciting their needs and challenges while introducing them to people they should connect with within the inventor community through providing opportunities to meet and dialogue with them to do so.
• For the above, be in charge of planning and organizing the events necessary, operating and managing the venues within TWC, and operating and managing the digital chat tools.
• 発明家のコミュニティやエコシステムが、発明を加速させ、未来の当たり前を生み出すことに貢献できるように、コミュニティやエコシステム構築の戦略やロードマップそのものの企画と実行を担って頂きます。
• トヨタ・ウーブンシティで活動する発明家と日常的に交流し、彼らのニーズや課題を引き出しながら、発明家コミュニティやトヨタ・ウーブンシティの中でつながるべき人を紹介したり、そのための出会いや対話の機会を提供して頂きます。
• 国内外の多様な発明家とつながり、トヨタ・ウーブンシティで活動する発明家との接点や交流を生み出し、グローバルでの発明の加速につながる機会の創出を担って頂きます。
• 上記のために必要なイベントの企画・運営、トヨタ・ウーブンシティ内の場の運営・管理、デジタルなチャットツールの運営・管理を行って頂きます。

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or similar experience in innovation, business development, product development, or similar area.
• 5+ years of experience in global innovation, business development, product development, or similar areas.
• High level of Japanese and business level English.
• Deeply sympathize with the mission of inventing the future fabric of life in the city as a test course, and can think and act in a way that puts the acceleration and realization of inventions first.
• Can truly enjoy communicating and interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Able to work with multiple stakeholders in a respectful and collaborative manner to achieve objectives.
• Have a mindset that enjoys speed, vibrancy, and a start-up-like work environment.
