Summary
Join Hostinger's Compliance team as a Compliance Specialist and contribute to maintaining a compliant environment for our digital services. You will handle daily compliance-related cases, monitor internal policies, investigate fraud and abuse reports, and collaborate with various teams. This role requires at least one year of experience in a related field, native Portuguese and C1 English proficiency, and knowledge of Brazilian consumer protection and data protection laws. You will be responsible for policy formation, liaison with regulatory authorities, and resolving complex compliance situations. Requirements
- At least 1 year of work experience in Compliance, Abuse, Fraud, Risk management, or Legal area in a comparable position (a must)
- Native written and spoken proficiency in Portuguese, and based in Brazil (a must)
- C1 written and spoken proficiency in English (a must)
- Experience working with compliance policy formation and updates, liaison and reporting with regulatory/supervisory authorities (such as PROCON, or other Brazilian regulatory bodies), GAP analysis, and process risk evaluations
- Knowledge of Brazilian consumer protection laws and data protection regulation
- Experience resolving complex compliance situations, de-escalation, and representing the company in legal proceedings when required
- Detail-oriented and positive personality with an innovative approach to problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team player
- Strong investigative mindset with ability to dive deep into regulations and complex cases
Responsibilities
- Handle and resolve daily compliance-related cases for digital services with precision and adherence to regulations
- Monitor internal policies, procedures, and operations to ensure strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Investigate reports of fraud, abuse, or non-compliance received from internal stakeholders or law enforcement authorities. Implement robust prevention processes to mitigate identified risks
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of all compliance-related activities, including fraud and abuse prevention measures
- Work closely with Legal, Customer Success, and other internal teams to address compliance challenges effectively
- Conduct periodic reviews to identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and ensure processes meet the highest compliance standards
Preferred Qualifications
A degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field (would be an advantage)
