  • Assess and prioritize multiple tasks and demands; maintain composure and work effectively under pressure; meeting deadlines
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and effectively handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and demands
  • Proficient in Google Suite products. This is the company’s main platform
  • Proficient in typing, data entry, using standard office equipment and the ability to operate a personal computer utilizing standard software such as Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Experience using complex electronic databases, computer and web-based expense and travel submission programs
  • Be able to legally work in the United States, without company sponsorship or time restriction
  • High School diploma
  • 3+ years of related experience in a business licensing, project management, legal secretary, or administrative assistant support role

Responsibilities

  • Assist with various compliance projects and tasks
  • Provide business licensing support to the company and its subsidiaries
  • Manage and maintain tracking for related records related to licensing, registration, and other applicable information
  • Conduct thorough research of various State Licensing requirements
  • Assist with tasks related to acquiring various licenses
  • Periodically engage in communication with licensing agencies to address compliance questions or concerns
  • Respond to questions from company personnel regarding licensing requirements
  • Maintain files of all documentation associated with licensing
  • Coordinate various licensing projects, including ensuring we meet deadlines and communicate as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to members of the legal/compliance team, as needed
  • Work cross-functionally with various teams (e.g., Permitting, Accounting, Operations, etc.) to meet licensing requirements, reporting obligations, and deadlines, for ongoing compliance maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous license & permits experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with solar licensing is a plus
  • Knowledge of East/West Coast territories preferred, but not required

We are seeking an equally passionate Compliance Specialist who has a strong emphasis on licensing to help further our mission through providing support to the daily affairs of our legal department.Β  This position will require an individual to think on their feet, be detail-oriented and organized, maintain frequent and detailed communications with the legal team, and have an overarching desire for success. The Compliance Specialist will report directly to the Director of Compliance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist with various compliance projects and tasks.

Education/Experience

  • Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screenings, including criminal and drug screens.
