Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, with an emphasis on short-term Asset Based Lending for small businesses (SBA experience is not required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field
  • Must demonstrate the ability to understand and articulate credit principals related to receivables factoring, lines of credit, and short-term loans
  • Robust understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis and credit metrics
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment that requires tenacity to explore opportunities and a steady demeanor to handle challenges
  • Ability to work effectively independently, as well as collaboratively with direct and cross-functional teammates
  • Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to find creative solutions to unique challenges
  • Ability to work proficiently within Google Suite and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Request and coordinate receipt of due diligence information for applicants to the Nabis Capital platform
  • Systematically analyze the creditworthiness and risks of small to medium size businesses in a highly regulated industry
  • Assign internal risk ratings to relationships, recommending appropriate financing decisions based on assigned ratings
  • Manage relationships with Nabis Capital partners via platform demos and swift responses to Nabis Capital-specific inquiries from brand partners
  • Recommend appropriate relationship credit limits based on entity capacity, creditworthiness, proposed transaction structure, forecast volumes, and other deal specific factors
  • Process financing requests, including maintaining and updating credit files for all new and existing relationships
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting and Operations departments on all customer credit and collections actions
  • Proactively identify and recommend process and platform improvements to drive efficiency and excellent customer satisfaction
  • Prepare utilization, concentration and additional ad-hoc metric / KPI reporting on the performance of the portfolio, including an internal rate of return analysis
  • Strategize with the Director of Strategic Finance to drive continual automation, efficiency and effectiveness of Nabis Capital

About the Role

Our Credit Analyst will work closely with our Director of Strategic Finance to help expand and grow the Nabis Capital platform. They should work well both in teams and independently, move quickly, and be excited to leverage the resources of a fast-paced organization. This role will be integral in daily Nabis Capital activities and assist with strategic initiatives designed to scale Nabis Capital both in California and in new markets.
