Remote Pricing Strategy

Summary

Join us at Vercel as we launch our Pricing Strategy function and seek a talented individual to lead this initiative. As an internal subject matter expert, you will improve our pricing model, align price with value, and reduce complexity for customers. This is a remote position that prefers candidates in the San Francisco or Pacific US time zone.

Requirements

• You understand pricing for SaaS and Infrastructure companies better than almost anyone on earth
• You are deeply analytical and able to pull insights from qualitative and quantitative sources
• You have spent years working in pricing or monetization at one of the leading consultancies (such as Simon Kucher Partners) or for a growing technology companies
• You have a proven track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder pricing projects to success
• You have at least a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or other quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMs, Engineers, and Execs to build price-models for each new or repackaged SKU
• Triangulate appropriate price structures and price points with Primary research, including customer interviews
• Financial modeling and data analysis
• Internal stakeholder interviews
• Competitive research
• Collaborate on organization-wide projects, such as an effort to repackage Vercel’s core “Developer Experience” offerings
• Build financial impact models to illustrate the revenue and margin impacts of different price structures and price levels
• Identify and execute on ways to simplify our price structure
• Working with GTM teams to iterate on ideal “Enterprise Bundles”
• Build & maintain the “Price guide” for customers
