Job description

Overview: Join DA’s growing North America Sustainability Practice, where we provide direct support to governments and community organizations delivering ambitious environmental agendas and help design and manage high-impact climate, community, and equity projects.

About Delivery Associates (DA): Delivery Associates (DA) is a global impact consultancy that helps governments, social impact organizations, and community organizations turn ambitious goals into an everyday reality for the people they serve. With over a decade of experience and a foundation in Deliverology®, DA supports leaders and community members through the journey of implementation — including delivery-oriented strategy, execution, and evaluation.

DA partners with governments, philanthropies, international organizations, and communities, employing actionable strategies to achieve sustainable, lasting outcomes. In every one of our services you will find a throughline back to this focus on helping our partners deliver on the high expectations of the people that look to them to deliver public value with public and private resources. We are a small but global remote organization focused on scaling impact around the world.

Our engagements across the US sustainability and climate sectors serve both governments and those who support them. Within the practice, we’ve supported city chief sustainability officers on implementing their key priorities, helped sector-leading climate nonprofits deliver ambitious climate programming, ensured environmental organizations have critical data systems to deliver on their biggest targets, worked on the ground with communities most impacted by changing climate, and facilitated coalitions working on solutions at the intersection of climate and racial equity. For more examples of DA’s work in sustainability and across other sectors, see our website and our blog.

Job Description

DA Project Leaders (PLs) are senior professional services managers, simultaneously leading multiple projects or major workstreams, responsible for shaping the work we do and end-to-end management and training of the DA teams that deliver impact. They are responsible for maintaining and growing senior relationships (with our philanthropic and public sector partners), while leading and coaching teams of experienced Delivery Leaders.

You’ll work with clients in a range of contexts: those directly in government and within their communities, as well as working in collaboration with leading environmental nonprofits and philanthropies at the cutting edge of community- and data-driven sustainability and climate work, partnering with them to design, shape, and scope impactful initiatives and interventions.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Work with governments, philanthropic partners, and community-based organizations, engaging senior leaders in the public and social sector on some of their most complex challenges by building capabilities that enable project delivery and inform data-driven decision-making.

  • Lead problem solving sessions: Guide colleagues and partners in breaking down issues to identify root causes and develop solutions.
