Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience devising content strategy and writing content to fuel B2B demand gen programs designed to hit pipeline & revenue goals
  • A background in journalism and/or agency experience
  • Multi-channel content marketing experience: you’ve written for various formats and channels including web, blog, social media (LinkedIn, twitter, Facebook), video, paid advertising, webinars, executive presentations - both short/long form content
  • A deep understanding of content marketing strategies and distribution tactics
  • Ability to write and communicate big ideas simply & clearly—in a friendly, approachable and likable way
  • Experience writing with SEO best practices + keywords in mind
  • Experience with martech including MAPs (Pardot, Hubspot), website CMS (wordpress), SEO tools (SEMRush), and project management software (Asana, Wrike)
  • A portfolio of B2B work that you are proud to show off
  • Previous experience writing about/for financial services would be a huge bonus!

Responsibilities

  • Understand our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) to Create Content That Engages & Inspires, and Contribute to our Brand Story/Narrative
  • Come to know Coconut’s ICP and buyers inside out - Partner with the sales, success & product/demand marketing to identify the key trends, themes and content opportunities for engaging buyers at each stage through multi-channel demand gen programs
  • Evolve our brand narrative/story (topline messaging) - Work with VP, Marketing and Product Marketing to solidify Coconut’s point of view and turn it into a compelling story that sets the stage for, ‘Why Change?’, ‘Why Now?’ and, ‘Why Coconut?’
  • Own Coconut’s Content: Development & Strategy
  • Develop, write, and edit clear, compelling, and on-brand content across multiple platforms (e.g., website, email campaigns, social media, landing pages, blogs, whitepapers)
  • Ensure we provide the right content, to the right people, at the right times across the buyer journey to create, capture and nurture demand
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end content creation process, ensuring content is delivered on time, is optimized for SEO ensuring high visibility, and adheres to our brand guidelines
  • Manage owned/earned media channels (Social & PR)
  • Measure and analyze the performance of content campaigns using relevant metrics and adjust strategies as needed to achieve business objectives
  • Create content calendars, editorial plans, and style guides to streamline and manage content production
  • Stay updated on the latest copywriting and content marketing trends and apply them to keep the company’s messaging fresh and impactful
  • Be our Brand Voice Expert
  • Oversee our brand voice/tone & keep things consistent and manage our guidelines and review assets as needed

Job description

We are seeking an experienced story teller in a Senior Copywriter & Content Strategist to elevate our content marketing initiatives and connect with buyers at every stage of their journey with Coconut. We believe in the power of words and the impact of content to drive growth, engagement, and brand loyalty.

Motivated by a challenge, you’re inquisitive and empathetic, and know how to dig-in to understand the way our buyers think and what they care about. This role requires a masterful writer first and foremost, someone who can craft sharp, engaging copy while also thinking strategically about how content fits into the larger marketing and business goals. You’ll draw on your industry experience to convey a compelling perspective that attracts people to our brand. By crafting engaging stories, you’ll help clarify the market landscape, showcase key trends, and ultimately illustrate why choosing Coconut Software is the best decision.
