Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
- Minimum of six years of experience in communications, with at least two years in a management role
- In lieu of education at least ten years of progressive experience in communications or related fields
- Demonstrated experience managing a communications team and a comprehensive understanding of external and internal communications
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee key communications initiatives, including the Annual Report, Speakers Bureau, and NSC.org web content
- Manage external communications, including media relations, speaker preparation, and resources
- Partner with colleagues to support workplace and roadway safety and grant-funded programs
- Support high-impact campaigns, including National Safety Month and Distracted Driving Awareness Month
- Support internal communications efforts and implement best practices for employee engagement
- Lead cross-functional external communications efforts and support internal communications campaigns and programs to align messaging and achieve results
