Remote Senior Network Engineer

Summary

Join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers as a Senior Network Engineer and help design and install internal and external networks. As a key member of our team, you will test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.

Requirements

• Ten plus years of experience as a Network Engineer
• Solid experience with Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, Juniper routers and switches, Fortinet firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls
• In-depth knowledge and experience with WANs, encryption devices, VxLAN, multicast, BGP, OSPF, and Wireshark
• Mentor and lead junior network engineers and team members
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, a Master's degree is a plus
• Obtain CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification within the first 90 days of employment with Raft

Responsibilities

• Help design and install internal and external networks
• Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Great understanding of the project lifecycle, related processes, and traditional systems engineering skills
• Good problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing business requirements
• Any of the following certifications: JNCDA, JNCDS-DC, JNCDS-SEC, CCNA, or equivalent
