Remote Senior Network Engineer

This Systems/Network Administrator role involves Level 1-3 troubleshooting, daily interaction with networks and systems, assisting senior engineers, and managing multi-tenant client NOCs. Requirements

• Possess expertise in Windows Server
• Possess expertise in Active Directory
• Possess expertise in VMware (i.e. ESXi, vCenter)
• Possess expertise in Storage (i.e. SANs)
• Possess expertise in Azure virtual machines, storage, and networking
• Possess expertise in AWS EC2, EBS, and VPC

Responsibilities

• Perform Level 1-3 systems/network troubleshooting and helpdesk support work
• Engage in daily hands-on interaction with networks, systems, cloud, voice, and users
• Assist senior engineers with support and projects
• Play a major role in monitoring and managing customers (multi-tenant client NOC)
• Contribute to the team maintaining proper managed services monitoring
• Onboard new client network infrastructure
• Closely follow changes of client systems to reflect on monitoring platform
• Monitor active issues and alert client-side personnel
• Troubleshoot and escalate issues
• Fulfill certification and training roadmap as set forth by senior staff and management
• Work outside of standard business hours as needed (i.e. scheduled firmware updates)

Preferred Qualifications

• Hold industry certifications, specifically HPE, AWS, Azure, Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, and VMware
• Have VDI experience with Citrix
• Have Linux server experience with Ubuntu Server, RedHat, and CentOS
• Have experience with Switching & routing technologies, specifically Cisco, Meraki, and Aruba
• Have experience with NAC technologies, specifically Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, and Microsoft NPS
