Requirements

  • Worked in People Operations at a company of a similar size (about 150-300 employees) with an entity in Canada and a big presence in the US
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with senior business leaders, managers, and peers
  • High energy, high empathy, and are clearly a cultural champion – both as a role model for our values and by leading cross-functional initiatives to strengthen our culture as we grow
  • The ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, using wise judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and best practices in HR
  • Proven track record of managing employee relations and performance management processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on performance improvement and employee relations matters
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies across all regions
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees and managers, ensuring programs are aligned with business goals
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of People and Talent to ensure competitive compensation and benefits packages while supporting annual salary reviews and benchmarking exercises to maintain equity across roles and geographies
  • Oversee the implementation of employee feedback initiatives, including surveys and focus groups, and analyze the results to drive actionable improvements
  • Help plan and execute virtual and in-person events that celebrate our achievements and strengthen community ties within a remote work environment
  • Collaborate with the PeopleOps team on strategic initiatives such as DEI programs and retention efforts
