  • Knowledge of Peachtree Accounting software a plus
  • Tax experience in some general partnership or corporate tax laws/preparation a plus
  • Real Estate Accounting or experience a plus
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3+ yearsโ€™ experience with significant accounting responsibilities
  • Public accounting experience in auditing or tax a plus
  • 3-5+ years of Accounts Payable/Accounting experience
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in finance or Accounting preferred
  • NetSuite experience highly preferred
  • Salesforce Experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge and Experience with current US GAAP standards required
  • Knowledge of accruals and preparing monthly balance sheet supporting schedules
  • Strong work ethic and drive to seek continual professional development
  • Must be well organized, have the ability to prioritize, be a self-starter and comfortable communicating with Vendors
  • Exceptional attention to detail, professional attitude, reliable
  • Proficient in Excel (Advanced) and Word, 10-key by touch
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and financial statements
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact with employees and related stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month end closing process and preparation of financial statements for CFOโ€™s review, firmโ€™s partners and outside auditors
  • Revenue Recognition, reading contracts and making sure proper revenue rules are followed according to ASC606
  • Supervision /Assist of accounts receivable billing process
  • Knowledge of accruals and ability to develop Month End Schedules
  • Tax compliance support as needed for various state reporting ( Sales and Use Tax)
  • Maintenance of various spreadsheets to support financial transactions and analysis of various expenses
  • Assist in preparation of audit work papers for year-end audits with outside auditors
  • Assist company in executing company policies and compliance procedures
  • Other corporate accounting duties or supervision of duties as assigned
