Requirements

  • Minimum eight years of experience as a Salesforce Developer supporting large scale, complex solutions
  • Minimum two years demonstrated experience coaching and training other Salesforce development colleagues
  • Demonstrated understanding of Salesforce platform, best practices, and functionality
  • Demonstrated success in creating innovative, user-friendly Salesforce solutions
  • Proficiency with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL
  • Proficiency with IDEs that support Salesforce development, such as vscode (with Salesforce extensions) and the Salesforce CLI
  • Proficiency with APIs and building integrations with Salesforce.com
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and DevOps/release management
  • Proficiency with connected apps in Salesforce
  • Proficiency with Git
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Nonprofit Success Pack
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, and Platform Developer II Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-divisional product and technical teams to evaluate, scope, design, prioritize, and complete new platform development in support of organizational strategic priorities
  • Assess the impact of new requirements on the existing platform as well as all upstream and downstream applications, systems, integrations, and processes
  • Work with cross-divisional teams to review, manage, and optimize existing platform automations, customizations, security, and integrations with a focus on performance optimization and adherence to Salesforce best practices
  • Partner with Senior Salesforce Administrator to outline support and maintenance plans for new products, applications, and integrations
  • Design and develop intuitive UI
  • Guide and mentor organizational Salesforce developers, guiding best practices and ensuring code quality
  • Conduct thorough peer code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Coach and mentor organizational Salesforce resources to support and maintain Salesforce customizations, applications, and integrations
  • Document and maintain system documentation including conceptual overviews, solution designs, configurations, integrations, dependencies, and system diagrams
  • Create testing and implementation plans
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce performance, security, and functionality
  • Lead the building of redundancy of knowledge and skills within cross-divisional Salesforce product and technical teams
  • Remain current with Salesforce releases, best practices, and new features; recommend improvements to enhance NPR’s Salesforce environment
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration and inclusion across all disciplines
